Lounge chair Valerie ebony

A furniture design by Marie Michielssen always starts with a series of sketches on paper. With mathematical precision, she builds up the volumes. The proportions must be perfect and adapted to suit the human body. For the Valerie lounge chair, she started from an elliptical base to which she added two rectangular surfaces, a seat and back at a perfect angle that makes it possible to sit comfortably. Besides the lacquered steel version she made one version in noble oak wood, finished with a dark brown stain.
