Marie Michielssen gives the white S 02 vase a charm by emphasising the hands and eyes of the women in the design. Every detail on the women's headdresses has been worked out with refinement, contrasting with the rougher nature of the chamotte clay. A subtle transparent matte glaze carefully coats the inside and the bottom of the vases.
